This Entry Will Spoil the Anime Experience!

So it’s been a long time since I’ve written too. I had a draft for this with like half a sentence, lol well I’m finally getting around to writing again. This is my first real bog post since Toradora! ended, I still need to do a review of it, we’ll see when and if I do it. In the meantime, Haruhi 2k9 run is out and suspected airing dates are apparently still changing, but at least it’s out! Chihiro’s torrents are at the bottom of the page.

1 Year of Animeted

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. However, I am coming back with a post before I leave for vacation. It’s one that maybe all of you should be interested in.

Just over a year ago, Animeted was created by Daniel. The goal in mind was to blog about the latest anime occurances around the world whether it spawned in the birth place of Japan or happened right here in the USA. Following fansub groups on anime releases were another focus and we managed to get a jump on that. As time went by, it slowly died down. With another summer ahead of us filled with a lineup of anime, Animeted is going to take the challenge head on again on providing the same good coverage that we have always tried our best to do.

Now, let’s take a look behind the scenes. Over the past yr and (almost) two months, the Animeted writers have created 210 posts (not counting this one). With those 210 posts, we have assigned 31 nice categories for them and slapped 425 tags as well. The users on the other hand have left 156 comments and have generated over 88,000 views since Animeted came into existence. Pretty cool right?

Going more into detail, the daily view shows at least 180 views a day. If that isn’t impressive, just look at what that adds up to:

Over 1,000 views a week, you can see where we are getting to. Finally, take a look at the monthly views:

Our peak: 13,000+ views in October 2008. Even though we haven’t accomplished a big number since, we continue to run over a fine standard of views. With one year gone, its time to make the second year much much more better than the last. There’s improvements to be made, things to be redefined, stuff to be taken care of. As the 09 summer anime season quickly approaches to the start, we hope to become the big standout site for all of the latest anime coverage on all of the summer animes, conventions, fansub releases, licensing, etc. But for now, we just have to enjoy the summer.

Animeted! Summer Update!

It is the summer, right?

Well, sorry about the relative inactivites… obviously our writers, including myself, have other things to do that come at a higher priority than Animeted.

This doesn’t mean we gave up on it, obviously, we’ve been in this situation a number of times before.

Just for some reassurance, I’ll let you know what I have in store for you!

Ok so just got home, deleted the old post and changed the name on this, I want it to look like a nice blog. Haruhi Suzumiya, she has always had a special place in my heart, I watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya shortly after it had completely aired, I remember seeing a lot of recommendations to pre-order it form Amazon. I decided to check it out, and I was astonished at the level of quality and the plot. I loved it, after downloading it from A.F.K. I went out and started buying the limited edition box-sets from Bandai I knew they had to release a second season/arc, this was based on 1 light novel out of a series of like 8 [at that time, there are 9 out now and a 10th coming soon] and the internet had made it super popular in many places. There was no way that Kyoto Animation could not make a second season/arc based on the novels. In the beginning there where a lot of hints from Kyoto that they where going to animate a second season/arc and gradually as announcements started to be made they started to delay and sometimes even deny rumors and previous comments. 2007 came and went with no Haruhi, 2008 came and went with no Haruhi either, and 2009 rumors again began to resurface, from magazines to random internet chatter. A lot of things have come and gone before this day, you can research the news if you want I won’t do it for you there’s a lot of stuff, [Anime News Network, its all you need for right now] I like many others theorized that the second season/arc was going toair together with the scheduled re-run in May, and it has, today the 21st [for me -8GMT] I am currently downloading a torrent of it [and there are lots more go look] from Live-Evil&DB, please visit either of them to get it.

On an unrelated note, today was the day for this to update and it has, first hint was a 5/S and the new hint is an E, what do you think? Saikyo Fansubs is a group I met on IRC, very nice group, been around a while but only has three releases, it appears finding translators is harder than I thought. They helped Chihiro out with Akikan 11, and have started Kurokami from ep 11, they have done 12 and are working on 13, please download them and help seed!.
